Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you've always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. Our practice utilizes the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve.

Every smile starts with a Complimentary New Patient Evaluation

We are always excited to have new patients in our practice. Your first visit will give you the opportunity to meet Dr. Barton, recieve a thorough clinical evaluation and discussion fo potential treatment options. A complimentary set of digital photographs may be taken to aid in this discussion. Our goal is to present your individual needs to you in a language that you can understand. Please plan approximately 45 minutes for this evaluation and discussion. 

 Some of the questions that may be discussed are:

• Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
• Is treatment needed now or should it be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth development or other factors have occurred?
• What is your individual treatment plan likely to consist of?
• How long will treatment take to complete?
• How much will my investment be?
• What are my payment options?

We will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and  will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your New Patient Evaluation.

What happens after the initial consultation?

While we can often answer those general questions about your treatment at your first visit, it will be necessary to have further information prior to beginning treatment. When you are ready to commit to orthodontic treatment with Dr. Barton, we will schedule a Diagnostic Records appointment. This visit will compliment the New Patient Evaluation with diagnostic x-rays, models and your bite registration. This analysis allows for in-depth planning, identification of any issues not readily available by visual inspection and leads to superior orthodontic results. This appointment generally takes about 40 minutes.

When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our team will be happt to assist you.  Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
